I’m sure the guests haven’t forgotten this spectacle so quickly: Johnnie Walker Blue Label took the visitors with a symphony in Blue literally into a realm of the senses. Symphony in Blue was the world’s first complete experience of theatre, culinary, music and art, which was performed on 16 and 17 September 2014 in the time-honoured Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the heart of London.
Star guest Jude Law Star guest Jude Law, who also presented the Johnnie Walker Blue Label short film “The Gentleman’s Wager” in Venice, and the German actor Daniel Brühl were the guests of honour at the event in London on 17 September 2014. One of the highlights of the event: the world’s first weather installation that allows you to breathe in real Johnnie Walker Blue Label atmosphere.
Excellent whiskies accompanied the extraordinary and provocative creations of Bompas & Parr until the evening culminated in a spectacular finale – with a musical instrument the world has never seen before.
On the occasion of the launch of a limited Blue Label edition and shortly after the official presentation of the film “The Gentleman’s Wager” (with Jude Law and Giancarlo Giannini), Johnnie Walker invited selected journalists to an exclusive event in London: SYMPHONY IN BLUE – SPECTACULAR. The evening event was conceived as a superlative performance, combining all art forms – from acrobatics, dancing and theatre to fire shows and culinary show interludes. The idea behind it was to offer the guests a multi-sensory experience that reflects the symphony of taste of JWBL – the Symphony in Blue.
Among the highlights were: A tour of London’s secret passageways, a visit to an ice palace, a live fire show, theatre and ballet performances, acrobatic barkeeping performances and an exclusive dinner with tastings.
In addition to Done+Dusted, who among other things staged the opening event of the 2014 Olympic Games in London, Bompas & Parr, FoodCArchitects, who have already worked with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, were also responsible for this spectacular production.
