Grey Goose Winter Ball – the charity event of the premium vodka with a big star line-up and the hosts David Furnish and Elton John in 2011 and Kevin Spacey in 2012 in favour of the Elton John Aids Foundation.
Glamorous party for a good cause: The GREY GOOSE Winter Ball
As the founder of upscale vodka culture, GREY GOOSE Vodka always promises stylish enjoyment and exclusive events. One of the highlights was the annual “GREY GOOSE Winter Ball” in London, to which the French vodka producer as well as Elton John and his partner David Furnish had invited every year to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The foundation is involved in more than 1,200 projects in 15 countries to educate and inform people infected, affected or threatened by HIV/AIDS.
Long term partnership – GREY GOOSE and Elton John
The foundation for the six-year partnership between GREY GOOSE and Elton John was laid when GREY GOOSE became the official sponsor of the legendary “Elton John AIDS Foundation White Tie & Tiara Summer Ball”. In 2007, to complement the fundraising campaign with another event to benefit the AIDS Foundation, GREY GOOSE created the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball (formerly: “GREY GOOSE Characters & Cocktails”) to serve as a “sister party” and winter pendant. With the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball on October 29, 2011, GREY GOOSE presented itself as the host of the event for the fifth year in a row.
Numerous stars from home and abroad
Every year, numerous stars from the fashion, film, music and art scene came to join the exclusive cocktail party and support the foundation. A total of 2.3 million British pounds were raised for the foundation in the first four years of the event. In 2010, celebrity guests such as Ben Kingsley, Elisabeth Hurley, James Blunt and Erin O’Connor celebrated at the gala and donated a total of £600,000. A special highlight at the time: French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier acted as creative director of the event and was responsible for the design of the bar. In 2011, the Winter Ball shines alongside Sir Elton John and David Furnish with guests such as Joe Jonas, David Williams & Lara Stone, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tali Lennox, Kelly Rowland, Georgia May Jagger and many more.
GREY GOOSE Charity Bar
The traditional GREY GOOSE Charity Bar was designed for the fifth GREY GOOSE Winter Ball by legendary French shoe designer Christian Louboutin. In addition to an exclusive selection of cocktails, Paco Roncero from the restaurant elBulli, which is considered a pioneer in molecular gastronomy, created a surprising menu that delighted the guests.
About GREY GOOSE Vodka
GREY GOOSE Vodka has managed to secure a top position in the super premium segment within a decade. The elegant vodka inspires bartenders and vodka lovers all over the world with its high purity and mild taste. It owes its unique quality in part to the climatic conditions in its homeland – the cognac region in southwest France. The recipe for success of GREY GOOSE Vodka is its elaborate production process and the 100% natural ingredients. The French noble vodka is produced on the basis of French summer wheat. During a five-stage distillation process, its fine nuances are intensified step by step and the sharpness of the alcohol is softened. Then water is added to the high-proof spirit, which has been filtered naturally through the limestone of the Champagne region.
